Dear Illinois Residents,
Welcome to the Internet home of Open Local Illinois. We are an organization that exists to help residents of Illinois become more educated citizens and voters. Specifically, “Open Local Illinois is a non-partisan, not-for-profit educational organization, that is dedicated to educating the public on transparent practices in local government, and conducting research on the business of local government entities. We work to educate residents on the practices of their local government entities through research, allowing them to be more informed citizens and voters.” We are glad you took the time to check out our website. Please take time to read our blog and leave us some comments. See our recent work and current projects. Send us an email let us know what you would like to see. While we don't think we can change the world, we definitely will try by doing it one community at a time. We have a vision for transparent, effective, citizen-centered, citizen-empowered local governmental units all across Illinois. Ambitious? You bet. Possible? We sure do think so. Thank you for stopping by!
For the residents of Illinois,
Daniel Seidenberg
Director of Operations, Open Local Illinois
